If you love the GWM5610-1 G-Shock with its retro 1980s design, solar power and atomic-clock daily update, it's 100% worth moving up to the GW5000U-1 as the metal case gives it a more substantial feel on the wrist and the superior, softer strap fits much better on the wrist. Plus it is made in Japan instead of Thailand for that extra authenticity. It only lacks the nicer colours of the cheaper version. Legacy Jewellery gave me a great sale price much cheaper than Amazon, and delivery was prompt and secure, for a superior buying experience. Very happy with this purchase, which is my weekend "beater" while I wear a high-end mechanical watch during the week in a corporate office environment. This is my third G-Shock purchased from Legacy and I'm fully satisfied with their outstanding service.
Absolutely a banner of a watch. Probably the best GMT/Diver at this price point. Easy pin removal on watch band for easy sizing. And the luminance dials are plentyy bright
